Key Responsibilities

• Design and decorate custom cakes, cupcakes, and specialty desserts using advanced icing techniques, fondant, and edible decorations.
• Consult with customers to understand their vision for events like birthdays, weddings, and holidays, providing expert recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards and Kroger's hygiene protocols.
• Assist in baking, mixing batters, and preparing fillings to support department production needs.
• Monitor inventory of decorating supplies, ordering as needed to prevent shortages.
• Upsell bakery products by showcasing samples and promoting seasonal specials to drive sales.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates bring creativity, precision, and a passion for baking. Previous experience in cake decorating is preferred, along with knowledge of food allergens and safe handling practices. You must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Strong customer service skills are essential in our fast-paced retail environment.
