Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli products including sliced meats, cheeses, and salads.
• Stock shelves and display cases to ensure products are fresh, appealing, and properly labeled with prices and expiration dates.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product recommendations, special orders, and questions about ingredients or preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in work areas, following food safety protocols and health regulations.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock to prevent spoilage, and report shortages to management.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including setup of displays and end-of-day cleaning.

Skills and Qualifications

Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling perishable goods. Previous experience in food handling or retail is preferred.
