Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli products including sliced meats, cheeses, and salads.
• Stock shelves, rotate products to ensure freshness, and maintain appealing displays to attract customers.
• Provide friendly customer service, answer questions, offer product recommendations, and assist with special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the department, following food safety protocols and health regulations.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and reducing waste through proper handling.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in varying temperatures. Previous experience in food handling or retail is preferred.
