Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli meats/cheeses according to Kroger standards.
• Stock shelves and display cases with fresh products, ensuring attractive merchandising and FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and recommending products.
• Maintain sanitation and safety protocols, including cleaning equipment, surfaces, and following food handling regulations.
• Operate deli slicers, ovens, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering to prevent shortages.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have basic food handling knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous retail or food service experience is preferred. Kroger provides training for all associates.
