Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli meats/cheeses.
• Stock shelves and display cases to attract customers and ensure product availability.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering samples, and recommending products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery/deli area, following Kroger's hygiene protocols.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for food service. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent bending. Previous experience in retail or food handling is preferred, along with basic knowledge of food safety regulations such as ServSafe certification.
