Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli meats/cheeses according to Kroger standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product recommendations, special orders, and questions about ingredients or allergens.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery/deli area, including sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and display cases to meet health and safety regulations.
• Stock shelves and cases with fresh products, rotate inventory to ensure freshness, and monitor expiration dates.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic food handling knowledge is preferred, with on-the-job training provided. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent bending/reaching. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
