Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery goods such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli items including meats, cheeses, and salads.
• Stock shelves and displays with fresh products, rotating stock to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Provide friendly customer service, answering questions about ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent bending. Food handling experience is preferred, and all associates receive comprehensive training on Kroger's standards.
