• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product recommendations, special orders, and questions about ingredients or allergens.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery/deli area, including sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and display cases to meet health and safety regulations.
• Stock shelves and cases with fresh products, rotate inventory to ensure freshness, and monitor expiration dates.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for food preparation. Basic math skills for pricing and measuring are essential. Kroger provides training for food handling certifications. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.
