Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli salads, meats, and cheeses according to Kroger's standards.
• Stock shelves and display cases with fresh products, rotating stock to ensure quality and freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and assisting with special orders.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including equipment cleaning and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Operate department equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have basic food handling knowledge, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in retail, food service, or grocery is preferred. Kroger provides training for success in this entry-level role with opportunities for advancement.
