Key Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate bakery and deli products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Prepare deli items including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling platters, and heating prepared foods.
• Bake simple items like cookies or muffins following Kroger recipes and safety guidelines.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, answering questions and fulfilling special requests.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and display cases to meet health and safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic food handling knowledge is preferred, with on-the-job training provided. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling repetitive tasks.
