Job Overview

The Bakery/Deli Clerk at Kroger plays a vital role in our grocery stores by preparing, stocking, and serving fresh bakery and deli products to ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli products including sliced meats, cheeses, and salads.
• Stock shelves and display cases to maintain attractive presentation and ensure product freshness.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering samples, and processing orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the department, following all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and support special orders or catering requests.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have basic food handling knowledge, strong customer service skills, and physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in retail or food service is preferred.
