Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as cakes, pastries, breads, and deli platters according to Kroger's recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Stock shelves and display cases with fresh products, rotate stock to ensure quality, and monitor expiration dates.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely while adhering to food safety protocols including proper sanitation and temperature control.
• Provide friendly customer service, answer questions, suggest pairings, and handle special requests or custom orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors throughout the shift.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive tasks. Previous experience in food handling or retail is preferred.
