Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as cakes, pastries, breads, and deli products including sliced meats, cheeses, and salads.
• Stock shelves and display cases, ensuring attractive presentation and FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation to minimize waste.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Provide friendly customer service, answer questions, and fulfill special requests.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling food products. Food handling experience is preferred, and all associates receive training on Kroger's standards.
