Job Overview

Bakery/Deli Clerks handle a variety of tasks including baking fresh goods, slicing meats and cheeses, assembling deli platters, and maintaining sanitary conditions in accordance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and display bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and donuts to attract customers.
• Slice deli meats, cheeses, and other products accurately using commercial slicers.
• Assist customers with product selection, special orders, and recommendations for meals or events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery and deli cases, shelves, and work areas.
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage temperatures and expiration date checks.

Customer Service Excellence

Interact with diverse customers daily, providing friendly service, answering questions about ingredients, allergens, and nutritional information. Collaborate with team members to meet department goals for sales and inventory control. This role requires physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast-paced environment.
