Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as cakes, pastries, breads, and deli products including sliced meats, cheeses, and salads.
• Stock shelves and display cases, rotate products to ensure freshness, and monitor expiration dates.
• Provide friendly customer service, answer questions, and offer samples to enhance the shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and utensils per food safety guidelines.
• Operate department equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic food handling knowledge is preferred, with on-the-job training provided. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in varying temperatures.
