Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli meats/cheeses according to Kroger's recipes and standards.
• Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and displayed attractively to drive sales.
• Provide friendly customer service, answer questions about products, and assist with special orders or recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following food safety guidelines and health regulations.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Stock shelves, rotate products to prevent spoilage, and monitor inventory levels.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling perishable goods. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training is provided.
