Bakery/Deli Clerks are the face of our fresh food sections, assisting shoppers with product recommendations, special orders, and ensuring all displays are visually appealing and sanitary.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery goods such as cakes, pastries, breads, and deli meats, cheeses, salads, and hot foods according to Kroger's quality standards.
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions about ingredients, allergens, pricing, and preparation methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery and deli cases, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Stock shelves and displays with fresh products, rotate inventory to ensure freshness, and monitor expiration dates.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, mixers, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling food products.
