This position involves preparing, stocking, and presenting fresh baked goods, deli meats, cheeses, salads, and hot foods to ensure customers enjoy the best quality products daily. Bakery/Deli Clerks are the face of our departments, assisting shoppers with product recommendations, special orders, and any inquiries while upholding food safety and sanitation protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as cakes, pastries, breads, and deli products including sliced meats, cheeses, and ready-to-eat meals.
• Stock shelves and display cases with fresh, appealing merchandise to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and wrapping machines safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, temperature control, and cleaning procedures.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service, answering questions, suggesting pairings, and processing special orders.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent bending. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training is provided. Reliable transportation and availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, are essential.
