• Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and rotated according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering questions, offering samples, and assisting with special orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized department, including sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
• Operate deli slicers, ovens, and other equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for food preparation. Basic math skills for weighing and pricing items are essential. Kroger provides training for food handling certifications. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
