Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and deli meats/cheeses according to Kroger standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product recommendations, special orders, and questions about ingredients or allergens.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery and deli cases, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation to guarantee freshness.
• Operate equipment like slicers, ovens, and proofers safely while adhering to health and sanitation regulations.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and reduce waste.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling perishable goods. Food handling certification is a plus. Kroger offers comprehensive training for all associates.
