As a key team member in one of Kroger's bustling grocery stores, you will engage with customers to recommend pairings, educate on cheese origins, and ensure the department maintains the highest standards of freshness, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting cheeses by offering tastings, product knowledge, and personalized recommendations based on preferences, diets, or occasions.
• Maintain an attractive and organized cheese display, including slicing, wrapping, and labeling products accurately with prices and origins.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock to prevent spoilage, and place orders for popular and seasonal cheese varieties.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper temperature control, sanitation of cutting surfaces, and adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) methods.
• Operate the cheese counter efficiently, handling transactions via POS systems, processing payments, and managing returns or exchanges.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for food, and basic knowledge of cheese types such as soft, hard, blue, and aged varieties.
