The CORP H&W/CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST at Kroger plays a critical role in the Corporate Health & Wellness division, ensuring compliance and accuracy in the credentialing process for healthcare providers across Kroger's network of pharmacies, clinics, and wellness centers. This position involves verifying credentials, maintaining provider databases, and supporting regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality patient care in a retail healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify healthcare provider credentials including licenses, certifications, and malpractice insurance.
• Manage credentialing applications through online portals and internal systems.
• Conduct primary source verification with state boards, hospitals, and national databases.
• Monitor expiration dates and facilitate renewals to prevent lapses in provider status.
• Collaborate with HR, legal, and pharmacy operations teams on compliance matters.
• Generate reports on credentialing status for audits and leadership reviews.
• Ensure adherence to NCQA, Joint Commission, and CMS credentialing standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Candidates must have 2+ years of credentialing experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in healthcare compliance regulations. Knowledge of CAQH and other credentialing platforms is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
