Job Overview

The Dairy Clerk at Kroger is responsible for maintaining the dairy department, ensuring fresh and high-quality products are available to customers. This role involves stocking shelves, rotating products, providing excellent customer service, and upholding food safety standards in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock and organize dairy products including milk, cheese, yogurt, and butter to maintain an attractive and accessible display.
• Monitor product freshness, remove expired items, and ensure proper temperature control in coolers and display cases.
• Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dairy department, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and pricing guns safely and efficiently.
• Follow all Kroger policies on food handling, safety, and inventory management.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have strong attention to detail, physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Previous grocery or retail experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Work Environment
