Job Overview

The Deli-Bakery Clerk at Kroger plays a vital role in our grocery stores by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards in the deli and bakery departments. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package food items including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling platters, and decorating cakes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of display cases, shelves, and work areas to meet food safety standards.
• Operate equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and report shortages to management.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling and storage.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent bending. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred.
