Key Responsibilities

• Bake, decorate, and package bakery items including breads, cakes, cookies, and specialty desserts according to store standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of display cases, slicers, ovens, and work areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Stock shelves, rotate products to ensure freshness, and monitor inventory levels to minimize waste and support ordering processes.
• Operate department equipment safely, including deli slicers, ovens, proofers, and mixers.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and contribute to a positive store atmosphere.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong customer service skills, basic food handling knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent bending. Reliable attendance and a team-oriented mindset are essential. Kroger provides training for all associates.
