Job Overview

The Drug-Gen Mdse/HCC & Cosmetics Section Leader at Kroger is a pivotal leadership role within the pharmacy and cosmetics department. This position oversees the merchandising, stocking, and sales of drug-general merchandise, health care cosmetics (HCC), and beauty products. The leader ensures exceptional customer service, maintains inventory accuracy, and drives sales performance in a fast-paced retail environment. Reporting to the Pharmacy or Store Manager, you will lead a team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences while adhering to company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance for over-the-counter medications and cosmetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the drug-general merchandise, HCC, and cosmetics sections, including merchandising, pricing, and promotional displays.
• Train, coach, and schedule team members to meet performance goals and provide superior customer service.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to prevent out-of-stocks and overstocks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
• Analyze sales data to optimize product assortment and implement strategies to boost department revenue.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and promote loyalty programs to enhance shopper satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have prior retail leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of cosmetics and health products. Excellent communication and team-building abilities are essential. This role requires flexibility for varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
