Job Overview

The Drug-Gen Mdse/Lead Clerk position at Kroger is a key leadership role within the pharmacy and general merchandise department. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of merchandise clerks in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and rotating products to ensure freshness and availability.
• Assist customers by providing expert advice on non-prescription drugs, health products, and general merchandise, promoting sales and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and place orders to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations, including proper storage of medications and adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Handle cash transactions, operate point-of-sale systems, and process returns or exchanges accurately.

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask in a high-volume store environment. Physical stamina is required for lifting merchandise up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
