Job Overview

The Drug-Gen Mdse/Lead Receiving Clerk at Kroger plays a critical role in the supply chain operations of our retail and pharmacy divisions. This position involves overseeing the receiving process for drug and general merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory management, and leading a team of receiving clerks to maintain high standards of efficiency and compliance. As a lead, you will coordinate daily receiving activities, verify shipments, and collaborate with pharmacy and store management to support seamless stock replenishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the receiving team in unloading, inspecting, and logging incoming drug and general merchandise shipments.
• Verify product quantities, quality, and compliance with FDA and Kroger standards for pharmaceuticals.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to facilitate efficient receiving.
• Resolve discrepancies in shipments by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper labeling and rotation of stock.
• Train and mentor junior receiving clerks on safety protocols and best practices.
• Generate reports on receiving activities and inventory levels for management review.
• Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
