Job Overview

The Facilities Engineer/Fuel Technician 2 position at Kroger is a critical role within our Facilities Engineering team, focused on ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and safety of fuel systems across our retail locations. This full-time position involves hands-on technical work with fuel dispensers, underground storage tanks (USTs), piping, and related infrastructure to support seamless fuel delivery services at Kroger fuel centers and supermarkets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fuel dispensers, pumps, leak detection systems, and vapor recovery equipment.
• Conduct compliance testing and inspections in accordance with EPA, state, and local regulations for underground storage tanks.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues in fuel systems to minimize downtime.
• Install and upgrade fuel handling equipment, including nozzles, hoses, and monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with site managers and third-party contractors to coordinate service outages and upgrades.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must possess strong technical aptitude, safety awareness, and experience in fuel systems or related fields. This role requires travel between multiple Kroger locations, valid driver's license, and ability to work in various weather conditions.
