The Float Pharmacist at Kroger is a dynamic role responsible for providing pharmaceutical care across multiple Kroger pharmacy locations within a designated region. Float Pharmacists play a critical role in maintaining seamless pharmacy operations, supporting inventory management, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper usage, side effects, and interactions.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications to prevent shortages.
• Provide immunizations, health screenings, and medication therapy management services.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws, including controlled substance regulations.
• Collaborate with store management and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Handle prescription transfers, prior authorizations, and insurance claims efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy workspace adhering to hygiene standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must hold a valid PharmD degree and active state pharmacist licensure. Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred, along with strong clinical knowledge and customer service skills. The role requires flexibility to travel between locations and work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
