Job Overview

The Floral Clerk position at Kroger is an entry-level role in the vibrant floral department of our grocery stores. Key Responsibilities

• Design and assemble floral arrangements including bouquets, corsages, and centerpieces.
• Care for flowers by trimming stems, conditioning, and arranging in water for optimal freshness.
• Greet customers, offer product recommendations, and assist with special orders.
• Stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and ensure displays are visually appealing and priced correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the floral department, including coolers and workstations.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with department manager to meet sales goals and promote seasonal floral products.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have a keen eye for design, basic knowledge of plants and flowers, and strong interpersonal skills. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred. Kroger provides training for floral techniques and safe handling practices.
