Job Overview

The Floral Clerk position at Kroger involves creating beautiful floral arrangements, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the floral department to ensure a vibrant shopping experience. Key Responsibilities

• Design and assemble floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces using fresh-cut flowers, plants, and decorative elements.
• Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable floral products.
• Maintain inventory by ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock to ensure freshness.
• Care for plants and flowers, including watering, trimming, and conditioning to extend shelf life.
• Operate the floral department register, process transactions, and handle cash accurately.
• Ensure department cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with store management and other departments to promote floral sales through merchandising and promotions.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have a passion for floristry, strong customer service skills, and attention to detail. Previous experience in retail or floral design is preferred. This role requires physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Kroger provides training for those new to the floral industry.
