Key Responsibilities

• Design and assemble custom floral arrangements and bouquets tailored to customer preferences.
• Maintain the freshness and quality of all floral products by watering plants, trimming stems, and monitoring inventory.
• Provide knowledgeable advice to customers on flower care, selection, and occasion-appropriate choices.
• Operate the floral department register, process transactions, and handle payments accurately.
• Stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and ensure the department is visually appealing and well-organized.
• Collaborate with store management and other departments to promote floral products through in-store displays and promotions.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines specific to handling fresh produce and flowers.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have a passion for flowers, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous experience in floral design or retail is preferred but not required, as Kroger provides comprehensive on-the-job training. This role requires physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
