Key Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise the floral department, rotating inventory to maintain appealing displays.
• Operate the floral point-of-sale system, process transactions, and handle cash accurately.
• Provide expert advice to customers on flower selection, care instructions, and gift options.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floral workspace and sales floor.
• Collaborate with store management on promotions, seasonal displays, and inventory management.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have basic knowledge of flowers and plants, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Prior retail or floral experience is preferred but not mandatory, as Kroger provides comprehensive on-the-job training.
