Job Overview

The Home Clerk/Garden position at Kroger is an essential role in our Home Goods and Garden Center departments. In this position, you will assist customers in finding the perfect products for their home improvement and gardening needs, maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, and ensure exceptional customer service. This role combines merchandising, stocking, and customer interaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers selecting garden supplies, plants, home decor, and outdoor living products.
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and rotate merchandise to ensure product freshness and availability.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the garden center and home goods aisles.
• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and unloading merchandise deliveries.

Customer Focus

Building relationships with customers is at the heart of this role. You'll help them with product recommendations, gardening tips, and home project advice, contributing to Kroger's reputation for outstanding service.

Work Environment

This position involves working in both indoor retail areas and the outdoor garden center, requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions. Physical stamina is needed for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays is required.
