Job Overview

The Logistics/FC Fleet Refrigeration Mechanic at Kroger plays a critical role in maintaining the refrigeration systems of our fleet vehicles, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of perishable goods across our supply chain network. This position is based in our state-of-the-art fulfillment centers and logistics hubs, where you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on transport refrigeration units (TRUs) for trailers and trucks. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on fleet refrigeration systems, including Thermo King and Carrier units.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components to ensure compliance with DOT and FDA regulations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and reduce operational costs.
• Troubleshoot complex refrigeration issues using diagnostic tools and software.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and service history in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must have strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of refrigeration principles, and experience with fleet maintenance. EPA Section 608 certification is required for handling refrigerants. The role demands physical stamina for working in varied conditions, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
