Job Overview

The Logistics/Receiving Clerk (3rd Shift) at Kroger plays a vital role in our supply chain operations at the ASP distribution center. This position involves managing the receipt, inspection, and distribution of incoming goods to ensure timely and accurate stocking of inventory for our retail stores. Working the overnight 3rd shift (typically 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM), you will contribute to the efficiency of Kroger's logistics network, supporting our commitment to fresh, quality products for customers across our stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify shipments against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies and reporting issues promptly.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners to unload and organize freight.
• Inspect incoming products for damage, quality, and accuracy, maintaining detailed records in our warehouse management system.
• Label, sort, and stage merchandise for distribution to stores, ensuring compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily receiving goals and resolve operational challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have prior warehouse or logistics experience, proficiency with RF scanners and inventory software, and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Kroger values safety, accuracy, and a strong work ethic.
