Job Overview

The Maintenance/Mechanic position at Smith's Layton Distribution Center, part of the Kroger family of companies, plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art distribution facility. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on conveyor systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, ensuring quick resolution to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs using CMMS software.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify potential issues and implement improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have strong technical aptitude, with experience in industrial maintenance. Knowledge of safety protocols, including OSHA standards, is essential.
