Job Overview

The Manufacturing Quality Resource Leader at Kroger plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our manufacturing facilities. This position leads quality assurance initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates with production teams to maintain compliance with FDA, USDA, and internal Kroger standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will oversee quality control processes, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to uphold product integrity across our food production lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain quality management systems, including SOPs and HACCP plans.
• Train and mentor production staff on quality protocols and best practices.
• Investigate quality deviations, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams to ensure new products meet quality specifications.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance. Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 22000, and statistical process control is essential. Excellent analytical skills, leadership abilities, and proficiency in quality software like Minitab are required. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
