Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package meat products including cutting, grinding, and trimming according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Ensure all meat displays are attractive, fully stocked, and rotated to maintain freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat case, work areas, and equipment per USDA and company guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and assisting with special orders.
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper temperature control, cross-contamination prevention, and sanitation procedures.
• Operate department equipment such as slicers, grinders, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and pricing products accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and departmental targets.

Work Environment

This role involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in refrigerated areas. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Kroger provides comprehensive training to ensure success in this position.
