• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and display cases in compliance with health regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and report shortages to the department manager.
• Operate meat department equipment such as slicers, grinders, and scales safely and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have basic knowledge of meat cuts and preparation methods. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a cold environment. Previous experience in retail or food handling is preferred. Kroger provides training on food safety, customer service, and department procedures.
