Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat case, coolers, and work areas according to health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and assisting with special orders.
• Operate department equipment such as slicers, grinders, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock to prevent spoilage, and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Comply with all company policies, USDA guidelines, and local health codes to ensure product quality and safety.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have basic knowledge of meat cuts and food handling. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly is required. Previous retail or food service experience is preferred. Kroger provides training for success in this role.
