• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, special cuts, and recommendations.
• Operate department equipment such as slicers, grinders, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and report any quality issues to the department manager.
• Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper temperature control and cross-contamination prevention.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have basic knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly is required. Previous experience in retail or food handling is preferred. Kroger provides training for all associates to ensure success in this role.
