Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat case, work areas, and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, special orders, and recommendations.
• Operate department equipment such as slicers, grinders, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper temperature control and sanitation procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have basic knowledge of meat cuts and preparation, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in retail or food handling is preferred. Kroger provides training for all associates to ensure success in this role.
