Key Responsibilities

• Accurately cut and trim meat products including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Wrap, label, and price meat items using proper equipment and techniques to ensure presentation and compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of meat cases, work areas, and equipment, following health and safety protocols.
• Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and special orders to enhance satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and report shortages to department leadership.
• Operate meat processing tools such as grinders, slicers, and saws safely and efficiently.
• Support merchandising efforts by creating attractive displays and promoting seasonal specials.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong knife skills, knowledge of meat cuts, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Previous experience in meat department operations is preferred, along with a food handler's certification.
