Key Responsibilities

• Accurately cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and rotating products to ensure freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service by offering advice on meat selections, recipes, and preparation methods.
• Operate meat processing equipment such as grinders, slicers, and saws safely and efficiently.
• Monitor product quality, temperature controls, and expiration dates to prevent spoilage and waste.
• Collaborate with department team members to meet daily sales goals and promotional displays.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have experience in meat cutting or butchery, strong knife skills, and a commitment to food safety. Physical stamina is required for standing long hours and lifting heavy loads up to 50 lbs. Training will be provided on Kroger-specific procedures.
