Job Overview

The Meat/Meat Cutter position at Kroger involves skilled preparation, cutting, and display of fresh meat products to ensure high quality and customer satisfaction in our grocery stores. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately cut, grind, and prepare various types of meat including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Ensure all meat products are fresh, properly labeled, and attractively displayed in cases to drive sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety regulations and Kroger's hygiene protocols.
• Assist customers with meat selections, offer advice on cuts, cooking methods, and recipes to enhance their shopping experience.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock to prevent spoilage, and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Operate meat processing equipment such as saws, grinders, and slicers safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies, including weight and measure compliance, and participate in department meetings and training.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong knife skills, knowledge of meat cuts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required for standing long hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.
