The Meat/Meat Cutter position at Kroger involves skilled preparation and cutting of meat products to meet customer demands in a fast-paced grocery environment. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately cut, trim, and prepare fresh meat products including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools to comply with health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in merchandising meat displays to attract customers and ensure optimal product freshness and appeal.
• Provide excellent customer service by offering advice on meat selections, recipes, and preparation methods.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and report shortages to department management.
• Operate meat processing equipment such as grinders, slicers, and saws safely and efficiently.
• Follow all Kroger policies on waste reduction, portion control, and quality assurance.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong knife skills, knowledge of meat anatomy, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Physical stamina is essential for standing long hours and lifting heavy loads up to 50 lbs. Prior experience in a butcher shop or grocery meat department is highly preferred.
