Job Overview

The Meat/Meat Cutter position at Kroger is essential in our grocery division, where you will prepare, cut, and display high-quality meat products to meet customer demands. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately cut and trim meat products including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Ensure all meat products are fresh, properly labeled, and displayed attractively to drive sales.
• Maintain compliance with health and sanitation regulations, including proper storage temperatures and cleaning protocols.
• Assist customers with meat selections, providing advice on cuts, preparation methods, and recipes to enhance shopping experience.
• Operate meat processing equipment such as grinders, slicers, and saws safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock to minimize waste, and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with department team members and store management to achieve sales goals and uphold Kroger's quality service.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have experience in meat cutting or butchery, strong knife skills, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of USDA guidelines and customer service is a plus.
