Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately cut, trim, grind, and prepare meat products including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with meat selections, offering advice on cuts, cooking methods, and recipes.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock to ensure freshness, and assist in ordering supplies to prevent shortages.
• Operate meat processing equipment such as saws, grinders, slicers, and wrapping machines safely and efficiently.
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper temperature control, labeling, and storage to prevent contamination.
• Collaborate with department team members to meet daily sales goals and promotional displays.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking cases and preparing for peak hours.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong knife skills, knowledge of meat cuts, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Prior experience in meat cutting or butchery is preferred.
